Quillen Manor is a community that meets the unique needs of individuals with memory disorders. By creating a simpler world that moves at a slower, more structured pace, we minimize confusion and anxiety. Quillen Manor is designed to enhance residents’ social, cognitive, physical and emotional abilities through innovative therapy, social interaction with others at the same stage of progression, and appropriate environmental features. In our memory care wing, we provide care though all stages of dementia, Alzheimer’s and other memory disorders, including hospice care. Memory care residents receive three nutritious and delicious meals per day, plus snacks.
Quillen Manor caters to the needs of individuals with memory disorders with custom programs designed to suit each resident’s needs. For individuals in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, for example, the program coordinator may conduct outings, cognitive and memory games, and exercise therapy. These and similar activities help memory care residents maintain interaction with the community, enhance memory skills and increase physical abilities. Individuals in later stages of the disease may participate in touch therapy and aromatherapy to increase their sensory abilities and help them recall special memories.
