At Quillen Manor, we provide a variety of opportunities to give our residents an active and vibrant lifestyle. Our social director plans activities each month that are designed to provide our residents with something that appeals to each of them. Be sure to check out our monthly activity calendar.

Customized Social Programs and Activities

Our social director loves to engage residents by drawing them into activities that complement their personalities and individual interests. Some residents enjoy recounting their life stories and special interests while others are encouraged to continue their hobbies in areas such as music, gardening, quilting and baking.

“It’s Never 2 Late” Program

We’re pleased to offer the “It’s Never 2 Late” (iN2L) program, which has embraced technology in a way that is easily accessible for seniors. With careful thought and design, iN2L has made technology socially, cognitively and physically beneficial for our residents. The program has incorporated touch screens with specially designed software to allow for expanded physical and cognitive therapy services in an inventive way. Benefits of this program include increased socialization, cognitive stimulation, greater sense of independence, and adaptable and personalized activities.

Events for Family Members

Residents’ family members are welcome to participate in our activities and are invited to attend monthly events specifically geared toward our residents’ extended families.

  • Educational, spiritual and mental development symposiums
  • Fitness activities, such as outdoor strolls, Sit & Fit and armchair aerobics
  • Musical performances
  • Creative therapy with arts and crafts
  • Games, including card and board games, trivia, bingo and Wii

At Quillen Manor, we believe in celebrating life, and we celebrate often. From musical entertainment to birthday parties to holiday festivities, there’s always something joyful and entertaining going on. Our residents enjoy being surrounded by seasonal holiday décor and the special occasions that they represent. Holidays and events can’t slip by unnoticed at Quillen Manor. When we gather together for special occasions, we do it right with big parties that our residents love. Whether we are sharing a traditional Easter dinner, honoring our veterans, hosting trick-or-treaters, giving thanks for our many blessings, worshiping together at Christmas or ringing in the new year, we make it an event to remember.
